Darwin glass x9750 thousand years ago a large meteorite hit the west coast of Tasmania . When it hit the earth, it vaporised mixing with the molten ground it hit forming a green to black glass. This impact glass is known as Darwin Glass in Tasmania as the crater is near Mt Darwin. Similar to Moldavite, Tasmanian tektites actually have traces of the original meteorite unlike other tektites. 61 grams
