Spinal orthoses. Guide to designBS 8432: 2005 gives guidance on the design of spinal orthoses. It is intended for designers of orthoses, clinicians prescribing orthoses for patients, orthotists, and manufacturers of both commercially available and custom made orthoses for individual patients. This standard is not applicable to sacro iliac orthoses (Sb), that is, orthoses that encompass the whole or a part of the sacro iliac region of the trunk.
